The 3D Limbs feature provides a set of tools for creating and manipulating 3D limb models in After Effects.
Key Features
- Various limb styles with customizable thickness and cap designs
- Built-in animations compatible with After Effects 24.5
- Toggle between 3D and 2D views for performance optimization
- Duplicate limbs with preserved rig settings
- Auto Rotate: Automatically rotates attached objects (e.g., hands) with limb movement
- Auto Flip: Enables automatic side-to-side limb rotation based on rig angle
- Limb Direction: Rotate model within composition when 3D mode is disabled

Limitations
- Primarily designed for 2D plane animations
- Full 3D manipulation may result in incorrect behavior at certain angles
Time Remap
- Rig based on Time Remap allows for addition of custom details and animations
- Enables use of effects for deformations and recoloring without limitations
Troubleshooting
Mismatched limb with controllers
By default controllers are 2D layers, so if the camera scene rotated, the layers visually will not be synced
Solutions:

- Make controllers layers as 3D layers
