Settings
Clicking the settings icon ⚙️ will open the Riv Player Settings dialog.
This dialog allows you to configure the source and behavior of the Rive animation. It has two main tabs: Animation Settings, Rive Settings, Collection and About.
This is where you specify the animation to display:
- Rive Animation URL:
- Enter the full web URL of your Rive animation (usually ending in
.riv).
- Click the Fetch button next to the input field to load the animation from the URL.
- If the URL is invalid or cannot be reached, you will see an error notification.
- You can clear the URL field using the small 'X' button that appears when text is entered.

- Or select a local file:
- Click the Select Rive File (.riv) button.
- This will open your system's file browser.
- Navigate to and select the desired
.riv file on your computer.
- Once selected, the widget will load the animation from this local file.
- You can also drag and drop a
.riv file directly onto the panel with animation.
- State Machine Name (optional):
- Select the specific name of the State Machine within your Rive file that you want to control.
- By default, the widget will attempt to use the default state machine, typically named.
- The dropdown menu will automatically show all available state machines from your Rive file.
- Artboard Name (optional):
- Select the specific artboard from your Rive file that you want to display.
- By default the widget will use the default (first) artboard.
- The dropdown menu will automatically show all available artboards from your Rive file.
- Clear Button:
- If a source (URL or file) is currently selected, a Clear button (with a trash icon) will appear next to the current source display.
- Clicking this button will remove the current animation source and reset the widget to its default state (showing the "No Rive animation selected" text).

By default the Canvas is main renderer engine.
WebGL supports advanced features like feathering and can offer better performance for complex animations, but may be more resource-intensive
Collection is a packs of Rive animations.
You can create new packs and add currently previewed animation into them to save for later.
