Installation

The easiest way to install and license is by using the aescripts + aeplugins manager. To install a trial you can select 'Add Trial' from the 'Account' menu.

Alternate install option: install using the ZXP Installer.

Drag motion_tools_pro_<version>.zxp file ****into ZXP Installer. If drag-and-drop doesn't work, select the file through the menu: File → Open

• Close and re-open After Effects.
• Navigate to the top Window menu, Extensions → Motion Tools Pro Panel.
• Click to open the panel.

License

To activate or deactivate your license, start a trial period, access script links, and contact support, check these settings from the script panel menu.

Troubleshooting

No application compatible

If you see this compatibility message in the ZXP installer:

• Update the ZXP installer and re-open it.
• Try opening Creative Cloud
• Or enable Install for the current user only in the settings.

Extension exists in the menu but won't open

• Check that your After Effects version meets the minimum compatibility requirements
• Ensure you're using the ZXP installer from aescripts
• Check that you're using the latest available version from the cabinet, or review the MTP - Version History
• Make sure After Effects is running with administrative rights
• As a last resort, you can try enabling Debug mode in the ZXP installer like here. This usually bypasses some errors that prevent panel opening. If the extension opens but shows errors, please send us screenshots or screen recordings to help identify the issue.

System Folders Restrictions

To make the scripts work, some of them require access to write support files to create effects. If your system blocks this access, you need to grant After Effects permission to write files, or try to manually create the folder and place the necessary files.
